
Restrictions will be ramping up at 12:01 tomorrow (Jan 14) morning in an effort to stop the escalating spread of COVID-19.
Northumberland County’s Emergency Control Group met yesterday (Jan 12)to review everything included in the new provincial orders and look over the impacts it may have on the county.
It was decided that a state of emergency would not be declared by the upper-tier as it was determined current processes already in place will protect staff and the public as they continue to deliver essential services.
County warden, Bob Crate, issued a statement last night (Jan 12) encouraging residents to contact staff and public officials by phone or email even though county headquarters will remain open through the Stay-At-Home order.
