Save Northumberland Mall.
That’s the idea behind a petition that is circulating change.org, that has over one-thousand supporters so far.
Kim Goebel started this petition that’s directed to Timbercreek Assets Management and Sandalwood Management Company, who owns the mall.
The petition states that it wants to keep the mall the way it is and not make it a strip mall.
It also petitions to bring back the food court in order to increase traffic in the mall and to consider concessions or incentives in order to draw new stores and brand name stores to take up residence in the Mall. Adding that new signage would also attract more people.
The petition states that the area fought long and hard to get a mall, saying it took 10 years to finally bring it to fruition.
Currently, there are 19 plus empty units in the mall.
