A Hampton Inn is coming to Port Hope!
The Port Hope & District Chamber of Commerce welcomed a big change to the business sector with the ground breaking yesterday (Dec 19).
The inn will be located at 80 Henderson Street in Port Hope, beside Trade Tech Industries, which hosted the ground breaking.
David Piccini, member of provincial parliament for Northumberland – Peterborough South was on hand for the announcement and says it’ll be great to see people staying in our community after a night on the town or during hockey tournaments.
Owner Shahid Mahmood says the Hampton Inn will have 80 rooms, many conference rooms and even a pool!
It just was a bit too cold yesterday to actually put the shovels in the ground.
