Critical Massive Adventure is tomorrow (Aug 17)!
Debbie Beattie, a director with Critical Mass, tells us more.
Beattie says it’ll be like Dungeons and Dragons mixed with A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
There’ll also be live sketching, where performers will pose on stage while people sketch, and the end result will be one of a kind graphic novels.
She says there’s also going to be a Dungeons and Dragons tournament, an artists marketplace where you can make chainmail jewellery or get a henna tattoo and much more.
Beattie is encouraging everyone to dress up and come for a fun day.
The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., but Beattie says there’s some adult fun for after the festival as well.
Beattie summarizes the entire day as an epic one-day festival and series of artist-led workshops that will explore the fantastic and ephemeral world of storytelling, performance, role playing games, imagination and adventure through the lens of contemporary art.
Coming to the festival is free, but to participate in the demonstrations will cost you $2 per event, or you can grab a passport for $10 and enjoy them all!
